Dr Dinesh Parekh is a retired psychiatrist, philanthropist and a remarkable collector. He has generated a vast collection with over 2000 artefacts over 50+ years, which provide valuable insight into Indian history, culture and spirituality. His collections have been exhibited internationally and are now housed primarily at Museum India (Dandenong), with a few works featured at the

Hindu Society of Victoria (Carrum Downs). Museum India is an initiative Dr Parekh has supported for the benefit of the Indian and mainstream Australian community. The Museum is one of a kind outside of India and stands as testimony to the rich and diverse Indian heritage. Dr Parekh is dedicated to strengthening the Indian community and sharing Indian culture with all Australians. His community spirit and in depth knowledge of Indian history inspires all in the community.
